Slightly more upscale than its sister restaurant, Cambridge's popular Aspasia, Ariadne features a stylish cocktail lounge (complete with illuminated bar top) and an elegantly appointed dining room that rivals those of the city's classier restaurants. Attentive waiters keep the atmosphere cordial, while soft lighting and rich colors make the dining room suitable for celebrating a special occasion. The kitchen's has a delicious Mediterranean bent. Exceptionally rich desserts include butterscotch creme brulee and a warm apple crostada with caramel sauce. Mondays-Thursdays, a three-course prix fixe is offered ($30, $48 with wine). Monday nights get a kick from live jazz performances and $5 martinis.
